Once upon a time, I walked a path many of us know well. I called myself a Christian from the very beginning, but if I'm honest, the true meaning of God's grace was like a book written in a language I couldn't read. My journey with God felt like a rollercoaster ride—full of highs when I needed a miracle and lows when life went back to normal. In those moments of need, my faith was a blazing fire, fueled by desperation and the unmistakable presence of God working in my life. But once the crisis passed and my feet found solid ground again, I mistakenly thought I owed God something for His help. This sense of debt, though rooted in gratitude, led me down a path away from Him, until the next wave of life's storms sent me seeking His aid once more.

This cycle of crisis and faith, gratitude and distance, continued for years. I lived under the false impression that my relationship with God was something I had to earn—that my actions could tip the scales in my favor or, worse, disappoint Him. But then, in a moment that changed everything, I stumbled upon a truth that shattered my misconceptions: God wasn't keeping score. He didn't remember my mistakes; He saw Christ in me. This revelation was like the first breath of air after being underwater for too long. It dawned on me that my life with God wasn't about what I could do for Him but about what He had already done for me.
